Letitia Breath – Ostomy 2-1-1 Advisory Board Member

Letitia Breath has earned the titles of RN, BSN, MSN, and CWON.  For the last 25 years, she has served the community as an Evening Charge Nurse and Staff Nurse in Intensive Care units; she has worked in Vascular Interventional Radiology and Neurology/Medical Surgical; she has proven herself in the fields of Wound Care and Ostomy Care at the V.A. and OU Medical Center hospitals in Oklahoma City; and she has taken charge of the Outpatient Wound/Ostomy clinic at OU Medical Center.

Letitia strives to promote health and support to patients and families in coping with illness.  In pre-operative settings, she prepares the patient, explaining the procedure and marking their stoma site.  During the hospital stay, she educates the patient, family, and caregivers about caring for the ostomy, prevention of leakages, and treatment of skin breakdown.  Once the patient has been released from the hospital and is at home, they are given the opportunity to call upon Letitia for assistance when they experience problems relating to their ostomy.

Ostomy 2-1-1 benefits greatly in having the benefits of experience, advisement, care, and support from Letitia.  We are blessed to have her on our team.
